About me (a bit more personal):
My name's paul horan ... middle-name thomas, after my dad ... confirmation-name martin, after the saint who served poor people. My mom, mary, used to say 'paul, you'd drive a saint crazy!' .... and then she'd lovingly remind me to behave myself ...
Fortunately, I was born into a caring family ... nourished, encouraged and supported to get a good education from a young age ... K thru 12 and beyond ... with a B.A. in arts & humanities that included 2 years of waldorf teacher training, where I was acknowledged at graduation ceremony as having a 'most inquiring mind' ... and I'm still learning how to view that as more of a blessing than a curse ... so, remembering how much I already have to feel grateful for - I've been loved and cared for and supported to learn - helps me a lot.
In a special way, my effort to design and produce YESSS contests is meant to pay tribute to my parents, mary and tom ... to all my ancestors actually; especially those who valued love. I proudly rely on my 3 sisters, my brother and their families as well as some close friends and their children as advisors for this YESSS endeavor.
You're reading my words ... thank you! I'm hoping you and I can develop a mutually beneficial relationship within the context of supporting young ecosystem scholars ... serving together, so to speak, the interests of people who are studying how to ensure the vitality of the living systems that support life on earth ... I believe good human relationships are vital to the various ecosystems that sustain us ... and I believe I have a lot to learn about both.
I admit I've spent too much time with this "about me" section; nonetheless, I'm learning and I appreciate whatever help you care to offer = there's lots of room for YESSS to improve. I'm hoping some of you who are reading this will consider participating as contestants, advisors and/or collaborators ... so that this link will become more "about us" sometime soon.
